APCC Internationalization WORKSHOP: "Focus on Great Britain" Internationalization Workshop
On Tuesday, October 13, the APCC is organising the "Focus on Great Britain" internationalisation workshop—a session dedicated to understanding the specifics of the professional circus circuit in Great Britain and the ways to start working there.
The workshop will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ateneu Popular 9 Barris in Barcelona and will be led by Axel Satgé, a London-based distributor and consultant with over fifteen years of experience in the international contemporary circus sector.
The session will cover topics such as circus circuits and support mechanisms in Great Britain, the region's unique characteristics compared to other countries, and the initial steps for working there. It will also address the administrative procedures required to perform in the United Kingdom following Brexit.
The workshop will be conducted in English; it is free of charge but requires prior registration, and capacity is limited to 30 participants. The event will also feature insights from two artists familiar with the British circuit: Bruno Toso, who has worked with the company No Fit State Circus, and Nacho Flores, who recently toured Great Britain with his show ‘Domte’.
