ABOUT US

Yellow Everything connects boundary-pushing artists with global stages and audiences. As a fusion of tour bookers, super producer and creative powerhouse, we're committed to supporting a small group of artists in creating and touring their work worldwide.

We're also consultants, lending our expertise to other projects and organisations.

Our work is infused with values that resonate with us: celebrating the work of LGBTQIA+ artists, women and everyone who’s currently underrepresented on the global stages.

Born in Spain, Marina (she/her) has worked in the performing arts sector for over fifteen years too! She discovered physical and visual theater while studying Philosophy and as a member of the jury of the TAC Festival Valladolid, an international outdoor arts festival in Spain. Then as a producer at Free Art, Barcelona.

In 2014, she moved to London to work with Gandini Juggling as General Manager. Since then she has been a pivotal part of the team and continues enjoying life and work at the core of the multi-awarded multi-magnific juggling company, while punctually adventuring into independent producing with companies like Alicia Soto-Hojarasca and Jose Triguero, hosted respectively at venues like Teatro Calderón and LAVA, Laboratory of the Arts, Valladolid.

Since 2021, she holds a PhD in the program "Europe and the Atlantic World: Power, Culture, and Society" and combines her work at Gandini Juggling with research about the role of the (emancipated) spectator in the arts.

OUR VALUES

At the risk of sounding full of ourselves, we do the best we can to embed our values in every aspect of our work. *

  • Yellow Everything is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunities that resonates throughout our entire ecosystem, encompassing our team, artists, audiences, potential collaborators, and workers. We stand against any form of unjust or unlawful discrimination.

Our stance aligns with the guiding principles of the Equality Act 2010, which amplifies discrimination law while fortifying the foundation for progress in equality. This framework extends protection to nine "protected characteristics": age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.

We are dedicated to explore every conceivable avenue to ensure impartiality and fairness. Decisions concerning recruitment, selection, growth, and programming shall be shaped solely by objective benchmarks.

Our Statement of Intent embodies an equitable approach to all facets of our activities and organisational evolution. Acknowledging the intricate tapestry of differences, we prioritise expanding access and delivering an equally enriching experience for all our stakeholders. Moreover, we are resolute in our mission to extend our embrace to those who may have previously felt marginalised.

Understanding that the arts are not only a mirror reflecting culture but also a conduit for cultural knowledge, we actively foster a space that encourages dialogue and amplifies diverse voices.

Yellow Everything upholds equal opportunities for our staff, artists, and audiences alike. We place great importance on cultivating a culturally diverse portfolio of artists and proactively craft events and projects that widen access for all, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, individuals from low-income households, and those hailing from varied cultural, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds.

This policy, while comprehensive, remains open to evolution. We will subject it to rigorous testing, learning from what succeeds and what requires refinement. Our commitment remains strong as we continue to research, explore, and evaluate the facets of equality and diversity, ensuring that our policy evolves in tandem with an ever-changing world.

  • Acknowledging the profound significance of mental health on par with physical well-being, we firmly recognise that mental illnesses can have a detrimental impact on an individual's happiness, productivity, and ability to collaborate effectively. This extends not only to our staff but also to the artists and partners we collaborate with. We are attuned to the unique ways in which the mental health of our team, artists, and partners may be influenced.

Through the implementation of this policy, our primary objective is to bolster and maintain the well-being of the individuals we engage with, cultivating an environment that fosters both mental and emotional equilibrium. Our aspiration is for everyone to experience genuine appreciation and equitable treatment.

Mental health issues within the workplace encompass a spectrum of conditions that can significantly affect the mental state of our team, encompassing both the Yellow Everything team and the artists and partners we engage with. These conditions may encompass mild depression, stress, and even severe anxiety, which could potentially lead to burnout and debilitating nervous breakdowns. Substance abuse, too, may exacerbate mental health challenges.

    Our guiding principles are clear:

    1. Serious Approach to Mental Health: We are committed to treating mental health issues with the gravity they deserve, eliminating any stigma associated with these challenges.

    2. Proactive Identification and Resolution: We strive to anticipate and address mental health concerns in a proactive manner, ensuring timely intervention and resolution.

    3. Supportive Environment: Any individual facing mental health challenges will receive support, promoting a holistic recovery.

    4. Collaborative and Inclusive Workspaces: In collaboration with our team, artists, unions, and health experts, we are dedicated to creating workplaces that exude positivity and well-being.

    5. Knowledge Sharing: We are dedicated to disseminating knowledge and information about mental health to our team and all our collaborators. We will draw insights from organisations such as Artsminds or BAPAM to further enrich our understanding.

This policy is fluid and adaptable. We will continuously evaluate its components to discern effective strategies and areas of improvement.

Our commitment remains steadfast, as we persistently delve into the realm of mental health, aligning our practices with the most current insights and ensuring the efficacy of our policy.

  • Yellow Everything is dedicated to an ongoing mission of minimising the ecological footprint of our activities. We actively champion a greener ethos in touring and producing, wholeheartedly embracing the following guiding principles:

    Team

    1. Remote Collaboration: Our team maximises the use of online tools for communication, reducing the need for in-person meetings.

    2. Paperless Efficiency: We employ a cloud-based filing system to minimise paper consumption. Essential documents are stored digitally, while archival materials find a home on an offline hard disk.

    3. Eco-Friendly Travel: Whenever possible, we prioritise cycling, public transport, or trains for local and intercity travel.

    4. Conscious Printing: We embrace a paperless philosophy and print only when essential, exclusively on recyclable paper.

    5. Sustainable Equipment Management: Reuse and repair take precedence over new purchases, aligning with our commitment to minimise waste.

    6. Responsible Waste Management: Our waste disposal adheres to local authority guidelines, promoting recycling practices.

    7. Ongoing Assessment: Regular quarterly reviews of our environmental policy drive ongoing self-improvement.

    8. Guidelines by Julie’s Bicycle: Our practices align with the industry guidelines set by Julie’s Bicycle, a testament to our dedication to industry standards.

    Work

    1. Green Production Approaches: Collaborating closely with the creative team, we endeavour to create productions with minimal ecological impact. This includes compact set designs for ease of transport and the repurposing of equipment and props from other productions.

    2. Eco-Conscious Touring: When touring, we encourage train travel over car or air travel, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.

    3. Thoughtful Promotion: Paper usage for promotional materials is strictly limited to essential needs, and we exclusively employ recyclable paper. We actively engage with printers to explore eco-friendly ink options.

    4. Collaborative Carbon Footprint Reduction: In conjunction with partner venues and festivals, we collaborate to minimise our carbon footprint, agreeing on a set quantity of posters and flyers.

This policy embraces adaptability and evolution. We are dedicated to testing the efficacy of its components, learning from successes and shortcomings. Our unwavering commitment drives continuous exploration of environmental issues and the steadfast evaluation of our policy’s impact.

  • Transparency

At Yellow Everything, transparency isn’t just something we talk about, it’s how we work. We share our process openly so the people we collaborate with always know where they stand. From how we choose projects to the practical details of touring, we aim to make things clear, honest, and easy to follow. We see everyone we work with as a partner in the journey.

    Positive collaboration

We work best when we treat each other well. A little kindness, respect, and understanding go a long way, especially when things get busy. Challenges are easier to solve when we face them together, and small moments of care can turn a workday into something uplifting. We want our working relationships to feel supportive, productive, and enjoyable.

    Learning from setbacks

We all try to do our best. But we’re only humans and sometimes, things won’t be as perfect as what we wanted. Every challenge is a chance to learn something new and strengthen the way we work. By talking things through and taking the lessons on board, we can turn a stumble into the next step forward. Let's welcome failure to the party – it's where the real magic happens.

* As much as we strive to be impeccable, we're also aware that, like everyone else, we have our blind spots. Share your thoughts and help us improve how we work with our community. Contact us on hello@yelloweverything.com to share your feedback.
